How to lower a 1968-79 VW bus

After you bolt the dust plate back on, carefully push the brake rotor and hub back over the spindle. Put the keyed thrust washer on top of the outer bearing. After that, make sure you have the correct spindle nut for the side you are working on. The driver's side turns left to tighten and the passenger's side turns right to tighten. Put the spindle nut on finger tight.
