How to lower a 1968-79 VW bus

Because the 17x7 wheels are such a tight fit in the rear of a post '68 bus, you will need to grind the front edge of the Wagenswest 4.5 plate and add a 3/16 spacer in-between the wheel and brake drum. Wagenswest will pre-clearance the 4.5 plate if you request it when you purchase them. Most other wheels fit without doing this.
