Third generation Wagenswest rear caliper brackets, for 944 Porsche cars 1983-89.

CNC machined and tested on split buses for years. These put Wilwood 120-13839 type calipers on the rear suspension of both steel and aluminum trailing arm naturally aspirated  944 Porsche cars (non turbo).

Some light machining is required on both the caliper, and the mount. See photos for more details.

This kit is the result of many years of refining our other disc brake kits, with help from our customers and their input. Designed to fit inside your stock 14”inch VW bus wheels, and will fit inside most any wheel you will put on the front of your 73-79 bus. Despite having a large 11”inch rotor and a Quality US made 4 piston Wilwood caliper, this brake kit only has a + 5mm offset, And it comes with all the parts needed to do the conversion except for grease.

Replacement parts are all readily available.

The rotors are from a 944/911 Porsche. The bearings are the stock ones for your bus and same with the seals and the caliper is one of the most common, made by Wilwood. We build this disc brake kit in house on our machines in Salem Oregon and we are very proud to offer it to you. This disc kit ships with a stock 112mm bolt pattern.

This is a smaller version of our Bustang brake it is built on the Mustang II rotor and uses a pair of Wilwood calipers with four 1.38 inch pistons. The great thing about these brakes is that you can bolt a 14 inch rim over them without any issues.

The kit comes with

2x Wilwood calipers, hardware and 6061 CNC machined caliper mounts.

2x Rotors with new bearings and seals.

2x New Wagenswest aluminum grease caps (not the gold ones shown).

2x Brake line adapters

2x Custom CNC machined billet aluminum wide five adapters with 14×1.5mm studs.

And all the bolts needed to install.

We also suggest converting to a dual disk master cylinder; we like to use this rabbit master kit for 1955-67 bus, or this kit for 68-70 bus.
