Wagenswest complete 1968-79 bus Suspension and brake kit, the good stuff with no guess work

Porsche bolt pattern 5 on 130mm.

This kit comes with a complete 4" inch narrowed adjustable front-end with new ball joints and 2.5 inch dropped spindles; including Wagenswest vented 4 piston disk brakes. The beam is ready to install grease, align, and go.

The rear end kit consist of Wagenswest drop plates, 3.25" for 1971-79 and an option for 4.5" to fit aftermarket wheels on the 1968-70 bus. The brakes are OEM Porsche style with internal parking brakes and forged hubs, 4 piston calipers and vented cross drilled rotors.

A pair of adjustable spring plates, all 4 shocks. Some of our new Wagenswest billet spring plate caps and a master cylinder kit is also included.

The suspension and brake parts needed to do the job.

KIT WILL NOT FIT STOCK 14" WHEELS.

These Volkswagen bus 2.5″inch drop spindles are built carefully, using special jigs and fixtures exclusive to Wagenswest, with proper alignment and spindle geometry, that won’t be found in other brands.
our dropped spindles will lower the front of your 1971-72 Volkswagen bus 2.5″ inches with out any other modifications.

(a little trimming of the dust plate, is the exception)

These spindles add a 1/2 inch to your track width, per side.

Approximate 3 week wait.

No core charge any more, this is an out rite price.

These are built out of original German spindles on Wagenswest custom jigs, Quality re-built in the USA

1968-70 spindles are drum — 1971-72 are disk with a 12mm caliper bolt thread
— 1973 -79 are disk with a 14mm caliper bolt thread.

Our dropped spindles will lower the front of your 1973-79 Volkswagen bus 2.5″ inches with out any other modifications.

These spindles add a 1/2 inch to your track width, per side.

Wagenswest started making these drop spindles many many years before the large companies came along and flooded the market with poor quality imported sketchy junk spindles. We still make them, with attention to quality and geometry, 2 things the other companies seam not to care about. This quality thing, is why Wagenswest has decided to stay small and focus on making parts that work good. We build these spindles in house and typically you can expect a 2 to 3 week wait to get a set after you order. THANK YOU!

This is for a pair, “left and right” custom Wagenswest CNC machined aluminum, 944 Porsche stretched grease caps. thes will also work as stock replacments for 944 porsche grease caps, part numbers -77405691C,477405692C,

Made to work with the 944 to VW bus front disc brake conversion kits, were the extra room is needed in the cap to fit the longer spindle stub and axle nut. Sold as a pair, one of the caps will have a speedometer cable hole, unless ordered with out the hole.

1955-67 Dual circuit bus master cylinder kit.

This kit installs a dual circuit master cylinder into your 55-67 vw bus.

A must for a disk brake conversion!

We use 2 style master cylinders, 1971-79 bus with 24mm pistons or a rabbit master cylinder with 21mm pistons.

We like to use the late bus master cylinder for disk brakes with LARGE piston calipers and we use the rabbit for small piston disk brakes (1.5 inch &under) or drum brakes.

Includes

1 – disk brake dual circuit master cylinder.

1 – Adapter kit and boot.

1 – Dual circuit reservoir and 2 rubber grommets.

Send us your stock Volkswagen bus spindles and a set of 944 Porsche spindles. With these two sets, we make Bus/Porsche hybrid dropped spindles. We also rebuild the king pins, on link-pin spindles.

The whole idea is that you will have a set of new drop spindles that use stock Porsche disc brakes.

Drop heights available are

5″ inch

6″ inch

Wagenswest complete Volkswagen bus front-end

Our complete front-ends are built right here in our shop on our machines using premium parts, with our eyes on every step we control the quality. These are the best front ends you can get for your bus. When we say complete, we mean it comes disk to disk, with everything in-between. Adjustable or air-ride narrowed beams, 2”, 4” or inch. Includes premium bearings, new center pin, swing lever arm with damper, new shocks, re-manufactured trailing arms, narrowed tie rods with ends. Our premium dropped spindles come in 2.5” inch, 3.5” inch, 4” inch, 5” inch and 6” inch drops.

We build all our brake kits using Wilwood calipers and come in Porsche 130mm, wide five on 205mm, and Ford 5 on 4.5" or chevy 5 on 4.75".

Complete front ends come fully assembled and are shipped via truck freight shipping varies from in the continental USA and around the world.

THIS IS AN EXCHANGE ITEM. We require a rebuild able stock core front axle, before we can ship this one out.

Built in the USA, using special jigs and fixtures exclusive to Wagenswest, with proper alignment and spindle geometry, that won’t be found in other import or copycat brands.

Our drop spindles are year specific, that means these spindles with fit the stock drum brakes found on 1968-70 Volkswagen vans.

Our aftermarket disc brake kits bolt directly to these spindles too.

These dropped spindles will lower the front of your early drum brake, bay window, VW bus, 2.5″inches with out any other modifications, and only have a 3/8″ offset.

These are built out of new material by Wagenswest in Salem Oregon USA
